Many times we listen to songs on internet but can’t download it.
Here is a very simple tip to record the song and saving it to your system legally.
All that you need is two freeware softwares.
1. Audacity (
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)
2. LAME mp3 encoder (
http://lame.sourceforge.net/)
Steps to follow
1. Download and install Audacity
2. Download and extract files for LAME encoder
3. Run the application Audacity
4. Select View --> Float Mixer Toolbar
5. In the Mixer toolbar select Linein / StereoMixer(recommended) from dropdown list
6. Go to Edit --> Preferences
7. For Audio I/O select Playback and Recording device. (SigmaTel in my system)
8. In the same panel set the recording channel to 1 (Mono) / 2 (Stereo [recommended])
9. You can set the destination folder to save files at Directories panel
10. Now play songs from website where you have found songs you like
11. While playing songs Press ‘Record’ button or press ‘R’ key and press Stop button when done.
12. Now goto File --> Export as MP3. During single launch itself you can record multiple songs.
Then select Export Multiple and at the top of the panel displayed select MP3 from dropdown list which will be blank by default
13. It requires MP3 encoder and asks for the same (lame_enc.dll) [For the first time use only]
14. Now browse lame_enc.dll from the folder where you have extracted LAME encoder
Files can also be exported as WAV / Ogg.
If you wish to crop the mp3 file then you can use freeware mp3 cutter 4 available at
